iPhone SIM and AT&T activation Unlocked?

+ A Norwegian hacker widely known as 'DVD Jon' claims that he has cracked the iPhone activation. On his blog, Jon Lech Johansen aka DVD Jon has posted a small utility software, which can easily edit code with-in iPhone operating system software. By using this utility, the iPhone user can activate the Wi-Fi and iPod capabilities on the iPhone without needing to sign up to AT&T's mobile service, but the regular phone services on the device will not be available.

IPhone is the most desired gadget of this decade ( a world-wide phenomenon) , sought after for features like 3.5-inch 480 x 320 touch screen display with multi-touch support and a proximity sensor, 2 mega pixel cam, 4GB or 8 GB of storage, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP, Wi-Fi that automatically engages when in range, and quad-band GSM radio with EDGE. Perhaps most amazingly, though, it somehow runs OS X with support for Widgets, Google Maps, and Safari, and iTunes and much more…….factor of bling Bling!

Want to buy "unlocked (sim and AT&T) iPhone" in India ?
Apple said; Officially, the iPhone won’t be available in India until 2008, but Some dealers in India are claiming that they can unlock both SIM and AT&T activation for mere 25$ dollar...it sounds quite ridicules to me knowing that iPhone runs on MAC os X and its too early for a claim like that. I am pretty sure that iPhone will be unlocked but it will take time, and who knows this might happen officially,.... apple might sign a deal with Indian cellular service providers like reliance, AirTel etc and make a early appearance in the market. As for the claims like unlocking of iPhone by dealers of Palika Bazar (Delhi) are actually brain child of some cunning Indian Blogger who wants to cash in on popular search terms like "iPhone", “unlocked iPhone” and "buy iPhone India".... Google acquires DoubleClick ---- continued!

+ This post is in continuation of last post about Google acquisition of Doubleclick....Now, how the two main competitors (Msn & Yahoo!) would react to it? .....well, its obvious they are keeping a close watch on all acquisition/buying by the Google but this acquisition is of utter most importance. And Logic suggest with-in next couple of months you may see yahoo and Msn ad programs will come out of beta stages; and yahoo may also extend its ads program to world-wide publishers. Beside this, I think yahoo and MSN must make some acquisitions of their own, after all we are talking about the Huge Market Share of Digital advertising.......and who know may be they are already considering the companies like Commission Junction. Anyways, the Market is still haute and will become hotter in months to come.

Google quotes that; "AdSense publishers will now be able to display and optimize ads on their sites from Google and other third party ad networks while still maintaining a positive user experience on their sites. By empowering publishers with more tools and choices, we will provide additional monetization opportunities and efficiencies to maximize their revenue." ...This acquisition will bring more advertisers as well as publishers and will benefit on both ends. But why did Google acquire DoubleClick in first place??...Well, they say; "DoubleClick offers a unique opportunity to acquire capabilities that are complementary to Google’s existing business.".....well said and quite true as well, because DoubleClick (established in 1996) has more experience in digital advertising industry and above all the acquisition will bring-in the Doubleclick clientele of premium advertisers to Google. All n all this acquisition is great news for the digital advertising industry and bad news for the Google adsense competitors. Now adsense publishers can expect relatively good increase in earning when “website traffic increases”, than previously. And Hopefully Google will keep the identity of DoubleClick intact as it does with all other pervious accusations. Overall the doubleclick acquisition will raise standard of entire digital advertising industry and let's hope the Google adsense next step is to increase the minimum CPC Cost.

Fed up of attending unwanted calls from Tele Marketing guys ?? Most of us are; especially people living in India get numerous calls from the Tele-marketing people wanted to sell their products/services and its some times so annoying that you want to break your phone. How they got the number in first place?? Answer is they got your number from other companies customer care officials where you have gave your number and this happens when a customer care or marketing officials switch jobs or even in some cases the data was sold by the company itself. Beside this there are many companies which sells data without even considering privacy policy, and they collect data by various means like online search, buying directories of professionals organization, phone directories , some times even from mobile operators and other companies like them.

Recently I got a call from a bank, asking me to buy insurance policy for my car and told me my insurance policy is about to expire with-in couple of day. You will say that natural but if I tell you that insurance of my car is done by other bank :pew… than? This is the Height of neglecting privacy of people and its time we will take our Revenge :)khii khi khiiii …How ? That a million dolor question but I tell you for free as its part of the plan to tell this to as many people as we can {Devil }. Here how its work - first of all we are not going to sue them, its completely waist of time. So how we going to do this ….. Well, next time you get the unwanted call from the marketing or customer care executives, first politely ask them to remove from the list (First Warning - we are not as bad as they are)….make note of the number if you have caller id installed on your phone and in case of mobile, you retrieve it from received calls. Now when you get another call from the same company,...their number goes into your list of defaulters…..Repeat the same process with other company and don’t forget to give them warning first …. And collect as much numbers as you can…….even try to get more than one number from the same company….How to do this ….well use your intelligence and here are some of ideas to give you right direction to think - # there is disturbance in your phone, please call me from other number # Give me your number I call you back (incase caller ID is not present in your phone) # Can I have your mobile, I call you back and so on………Now comes the funny part ,… the next time you get an unwanted call from the marketing guys trying to sell their stuff or service …. Simply tell them your are not interest but your friend (cousin/ aunt /uncle) was looking to buy/hire their stuff or service and defiantly be interested ….. Give them the number….aaaah not the real friends number moron….give them the number from your list of defaulters ……Now they will be calling each other and will know how annoying is the unwanted calls….Payback Time :D (lol)… and if you still not satisfied and want to take this a step further ask your friend to do the same and share defaulters lists with each other...….khi khi…we also love sharing as they do… you know :P !! Do Remember, first you going to ask them politely to remove your number from their list…...Because you are not as Bad as they are. It’s High time now that these people should respect other peoples privacy…..!![ DIGG IT ]

Google Homepage MOD !!!!

- Well, just trying to break the monotony of my everyday schedule of working on my website and as this freak Blog of mine is facing total ignorance from me, so I decided to write another soup style post and this time; I used some of my Photoshop skills to come up with this MOD of Google default homepage. From the beginning Google style emphasize on clarity and simplicity rather than going for visual aesthetics or adding jubmble of information on the home page. Recently, I read some where that Google hired a new website designer, who previously designing templates for bloggers.....I don’t know his name.....but today after working on this MOD for an hour or so,… I do know, how tough is to improve functionality and visual aesthetics while sticking with the main concept of simplicity, for not to loose real identity of the company......Anyways, I do observe some minor changes mainly for improving aesthetics on various Google service,.. which I think is done by the same designer and these minor change are infect quite Big “subjectively” n have lots of thinking behind them.....Kudos!! Well coming back to my Mod, after lot of thinking and some odd layouts.....I finally come up with this one, just added few icon shortcut for the various Google services. Some Points which i want to make over here is that:
# Most of the users don’t personalize their homepage's
# Default page or home page should be country specific. As for example I have added a shortcut icon to Web Accelerator , which is quite useful; considering the countries like India, Nepal, Pakistan, Slovakia etc etc, where people still use dial-up connection due to the scarcity of broadband connection.
# Main services should be directly accessible and clearly marked on homepage. Take example of Gmail: if user is not using G! toolbar and he/she want to excess Gmail via Google home page then:- Method 1) user has to first sign in - which leads back to the same page - then you have go to your personalized page - then their your Gmail preview & a link to it.
Method 2) On G! homepage click on more - then click on even more - then you find a link to Gmail.....seem simple - but my friends consider net surfing also as art and the mass (world-wide) is still unaware of your web 2 , Ajax .... bla bla etc etc .......drop down menu hmmm!!
You may ask why the user doesn’t simply type gmail.com in address bar????... Answer is that, then why should the user make Google its homepage and same goes of anyone whose asking Internet user's to make their respective main page as Homepage. I can go on 'n' on 'n' on ........but I leave it for your imagination and of course no one is paying me :( so bad hnnnn !!

Some observations......e-World !

• Yahoo removed blogs from news results in recent past...... a Real bad move!! Shows lack of leadership and how skeptical they are about their own decisions. One more thing, yahoo search results are now much more oriented towards the websites with Y! Factor incorporated in it.....like running yahoo ads or the websites in/out links pointing towards other website with Y! Factor..........Ahmmm!!
• Swicki shows no sign of improvement :( .........Future 50/50 !!
• Hat-off for Digg, still manage to run the digg-in system fairly unexploted.
• netvibes.com - Making real vibes .......short-term future is bright. For long term success they have to keep on evolving continuously but shouldn’t make the mistake like technorati did,.. which used to keep on introducing new features and neglecting the real ones.......But now they seems to realize that and trying their level best to improve.
• Google take over youTube ....that’s nice.....but the nicer thing about them, is they didn’t change its identity and back-stage co-operation is the mantra over here. Same example: take-over of sketch-up.
• MSN is changing every thing to Live! That’s pretty cool.....but only for Tec-savvy people. The mass is still confused about Live. MSN / live search have been already improved quite a bit but still lack agility of google.
• FireFox or Internet Explorer?? .......Fox already made its point but IE always has the upper hand, due to the advantage - its comes Pre-bundled with MS windows.

What will happen to this Blog???................. That’s a tough one!!

Another Freak Accident With StingRay

- One month after Fatal stingray attack which killed "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin, their is another accident involving stingray, but this time the stingray comes outaa water to do the job, luckily man survived the attack but still in critical condition. An 81-year-old Florida man has survived a chest puncture he received when a sting ray jumped into his boat. what's going on out there, some sort of revenge of stingray or something ??

- Famous television ancor and Australian naturalist, "Stephen Robert Irwin" best known for the television program The Crocodile Hunter, an unconventional wildlife documentary series broadcast worldwide, died on 4 September 2006, Irwin was fatally pierced in the chest by a short-tail stingray barb while snorkelling in Batt Reef, which is part of the Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Port Douglas in Queensland, Australia.....hmmm :( ......check more on wiki !

American Defence was too Good For Italians

-Todays World Cup Football match between Italy and America was, Overall a very interesting game, Three Red cards... - 2 Americans and 1 Italian player sent out of the field by Uruguayan referee. Though Americans are left with only nine players against 10 of Italy, American defense prove to be hard nut to crack. kassey keller the American goal keeper did a nice job defending his side of the posts. Though the ball is in American half most of the time, they did built quite a few very synchronized attacks, - great work by forward players, the games couldn't be more exciting then that. Two Goals where scored, one by the each team - 1-1 draw! The US Team, supposedly the underdog makes the match worth watching. As for Italian football team, I have a question - What happened to you guys????

New yahoo homepage is Very nice and clean cut design..The new makeover along with the content they are putting up these days feels very young and energetic. Same goes for msn as well- much cleaner now, more information and Simplified navigation. The Makeover of Homepage is quite imminent and a welcome change, as People's expectations, thinking and information needs have changed over the years. In days to come the Homepage's will become much more sexy personalized than they already are.....think about start and live??
Now if you ask me which one you choose among msn and yahoo as your homepage???
I say answer is quite subjective as both are equally good in terms of design and navigation. So if you want to choose between them, look for your own personal needs.......[Tip: which email do you use??]
